Our practice is closed between 5.30pm in the evenings and 8.30am the following weekday morning. We are closed at weekends. We are also closed on certain public holidays and training afternoons (Tuesdays) as announced but cover has been prearranged with NHS 24. During all closed periods, if you call the surgery a message will give you the telephone contact number for the out of hours service which is as follows: 08454 242424 and their website is: www.nhs24.com.

When you call the out-of-hours service, you will be put through to a call handler who will help to assess your need before deciding what best to do. Please use this service ONLY if you genuinely cannot wait to see your own GP.

Protected Time Training for Doctors, Nurses And Administrative Staff

Our practice participates in the above scheme along with 19 other practices in North Ayrshire. This involves half day closing on selected Tuesdays throughout the year. Urgent medical and nursing care during these afternoons are covered by the out-of-hours emergency service. Dates of practice training and closures will be advertised well in advance. Please enquire at reception.

PARKING & DISABLED ACCESS

There are parking facilities at the rear and adequate disabled access. The centre is on ground level and is easily accessible to wheelchairs and the disabled. A toilet suitable for wheelchairs is present within the health centre.
