The COVID 19 pandemic has been a difficult time for many of us, so it's never been more important to be aware of the support available.The CLW service is available for support in your GP practice every week via face to face, telephone or video consultations. Just book an appointment with the reception team at the surgery.

Community services are opening

Many statutory services have remained available over the pandemic using alternative methods of support. As restrictions ease, many of our community supports are starting to reopen and the CLW in practice can help you find the supports and services you need.

Access to Community Food

The George Steven Centre is providing low cost hot meals on aTuesday & Thursday 4 to 7 pm (£2.50 3 courses, kids under 12 eat free) to order call 01505 682483 (Deliveries are available £1 Garnock Valley only)

Salvation Army Food Bank is still available as a drop in (entry behind Job Centre) on Monday mornings between 09:30 am to 11 am

Cafe Solace provides low cost hot food on a Friday(£2.50 3 courses, kids under 12 eat free) to order contact via Facebook messenger from Thursday afternoon or call 07785239689 between 12 and 4pm on Fridays (delivery available at £1 Garnock Valley only)

Dalry Community Larder is open Wednesday 6:30 pm to 8 pm andSaturdays 10 am to 12 pm (£4 per visit in exchange for a selection of low cost food up to value of £15)

Outdoor Support

Barrmill Conservation Group have a range of outdoor activities available that are free to attend including the Wellness Pod every Thursday 10:30 am to 3:30 pm. Join their therapeutic gardener for all things gardening. Disabled parking and wheelchair accessible planters.

The North Ayrshire Sensory Impairment team can offer a range of support and services to you if you are blind, visually impaired, deaf, hearing impaired or deaf blind. You can join their new Facebook group by searchingNorth Ayrshire Sensory Impairment group

Garnock Valley Mens Shed

The Garnock Valley Men's shed is open again on Tuesdays and Thursdays (10 am to 4 pm) offering support and friendship to men living in the local areas and beyond. For more information find them on facebook

Provide a range of support for our local community including telephone befriending, meal services and community shopper to those in need.
